If your controller isn’t working in the House Flipper game or it misses axes, here are a few steps you can do on your own.
Run Steam in the Big Picture mode.
Open the Steam and the option to turn on the Big Picture mode will show up on the upper right corner of the Steam window.
Adjust controller options.
While you’re in the Big Picture mode, go to the House Flipper page in your Library. Look for the controller icon on the right side, just like in the screenshot below, and click on it.
If you get a message like the one seen below, check the connection and state of your controller.
Adjust controller sticks sensitivity
If both Steam and your PC detect your controller, after clicking on the controller icon, you will see House Flipper Controller Settings depending on the controller model you use. From there choose the left option View Layout.
Clicking either Left Joystick or Right Joystick opens the sticks options.
Now choose the gear icon next to the joystick behavior line to open the advanced options, where you can adjust all the stick settings to suit your needs.
A controller is interfering with the gameplay
This issue should be fixed in the Valentine update. If you're still experiencing it please let us know.
A possible workaround is to force generic controller emulation in Steam Big Picture settings. It's located in Steam settings and affects all the games on your machine.
