We put a lot of effort into improving game performance and giving everyone the best playing experience, but your device has to be strong enough to run the game.
Make sure your laptop or PC meets the minimum requirements listed below. Keep in mind that the minimum requirements to run the game increase with more DLCs and they may change after any update.
Operating system: Windows 7 (64-bit) or newer
Processor: Intel Core i3 3.20GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2GHz
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 560 / AMD R7-260X
DirectX: Version 11
Disk space: 6 GB of available space
How to check if the game will run on my laptop?
If you’re not sure if the software and equipment inside your computer are good enough to run the game smoothly, the easiest way to check it is to… buy the game and test it by playing.
Remember that Steam always allows you to ask for a refund if the game is unplayable for you or you simply don’t enjoy it. There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s your privilege as the customer. Just note that Steam has a few rules you need to follow in order to get your money back.
Tips to improve your game performance
Make sure the game uses the right graphics card
Many laptops have two graphics cards – the main one for more power-consuming operations, and another integrated into the CPU. In most cases, an integrated card is good enough for office work, but not for games. Sometimes a system assigns an integrated card to the game instead of a main graphics card. It can happen at the start, or during gameplay, like switching to a web browser or desktop recording software.
The solution on how to set the default graphic card for a particular game depends on the producer of your graphic card. Check out the manuals available on the internet.
Plug the charger into your laptop
In order to reduce power consumption most laptops slow down while unplugged. Keep your laptop connected at all times while playing.
Lower your graphics settings
From the main menu go the Settings and then the Graphics tab. In there change the quality of our graphics to Ultra Low. Check the other options there as well.
Changing the game’s resolution to smaller values. House Flipper is playable on 4K monitors and other super-high resolutions, however only if you have a high-end PC or laptop. If you face any performance issues, we recommend switching your game’s resolution to a smaller option like Full HD (1920x1080) or even lower.
It’s also worth noting that you can reduce the load on your graphics card and therefore improve performance if you switch the quality of textures for lower values, especially if your graphics card lacks virtual memory. You can find those options in the Settings, the Advanced tab. Give it a try and disable any additional graphics features there to make your gameplay smoother.
If you ever stumble upon any other solution to your FPS issue, it would be great if you could share it with us at Frozen District Support, so we can help others in the future.
