Some quick solutions to known issues you may face while playing House Flipper 2.
Remember that if you use cheats in the game it is at your own risk. This very often causes a problem with unlocking achievements. Any interference with the game in other ways can cause problems with its performance and errors are not on our side or pure game.
If the steps listed below don't seem to help, you can report the issue in a separate thread in the "Bugs & Crashes" Steam subforum or use our Support Ticket panel.
- Problem with window cleaning -
âThe quest doesnât count the windows I just cleaned.â
The problem occurs when your graphics card doesnât meet the minimum requirements of the game and doesnât support the game's shaders. We encourage you to upgrade your hardware for the best game experience. Also, remember that in the future DLCs and mods might increase the game's overall requirements.
However, there are also two ways you can solve the shaders issue without the need to replace your current graphics card:
1) You can open Settings in the House Flipper 2 game, go to the Graphics tab, and change Graphic preset settings to Steam Deck.
2) If the first method wonât work, you can try to fix the problem by using unsupported shaders from our tutorial here -> Problem with shaders
- Crashes/Infinite loading -
Firstly, check if your PC meets the minimum requirements of the game. Keep in mind that the minimum requirements to run the game may change after any update.
Hereâs a short instruction on how you can check your specifications using the Steam platform.
Next, check if your graphics card, system and BIOS drivers are up to date.
We also recommend using the Task Manager (pressing Alt+Ctrl+Del) to monitor your GPU load. You can lower the in-game FPS limiter to keep your GPU load under 90% at all times. However the lower you set your FPS limit, the fewer frames per second will your graphics card produce. Thus the game wonât run so smoothly, but overall you will give your graphics card some room to breathe and reduce the load.
If your set-up meets the minimum requirements of the game and problems still occur, then the problem is software. Programs like OneDrive/DropBox or your antivirus might block the House Flipper 2 from its save files. Try to turn off OneDrive/DropBox before starting the game and add House Flipper 2 as an exception to your antivirus.
In case problems still happen, as a last resort uninstall House Flipper completely.
Don't forget to back up your profile! Then make sure to remove all related files from both the Documents and AppData folders before reinstalling the game.
If even that wonât help, feel free to contact our Support here -> Ticket Support
Important! In the ticket attachment, you will be asked to add your âlogsâ files. Hereâs the tutorial on where to find them -> Where are my saved games, system information and logs?
- Bugs, bugs, bugs -
If you face a bug that blocks you in the game progress the easiest way to solve it is to start the active job from scratch. Sometimes it might require turning off and on your PC - yes, it does miracles!
In case it wonât work, youâll need to verify the integrity of game files. Steam can do it for you and check if you havenât lost any game files or if the game is up to date with our recent fixes.
Go to the Steam Library. Right-click on the House Flipper 2 icon, then Properties and tab Installed Files. From there choose the option Verify integrity of game files.
As the last resort try deleting and reinstalling the game on a different drive or with a different directory. Don't forget to back up your profile first!
- FPS drops or lags -
You will need to lower the graphics settings and disable advanced graphics options:
1) Start the game. In the Main Menu go to the Settings and Display tab. Then turn off the V-Sync.
2) Then in the same tab lower the Frame rate limiter.
3) Go to the Graphics tab and change the Graphics preset to lower quality.
4) If your PC supports FRS or DLSS, in the same tab you can change the Dynamic resolution mode and the following options to lower quality.
- Auto Scrolling -
âThe scroll in the Store/Main Menu randomly keeps on scrolling!â
Make sure you don't have any extra devices connected, such as gamepads, steering wheels, graphic tablets, or joysticks. This includes any additional software for keyboard, mouse, or headphones. Try to disable these programs or disconnect extra devices.
Alternatively, return to the Main Menu and press W, S, or any button you have bound for moving forward and back. This step might seem unusual but could potentially solve the issue right away!
