If you’re about to submit a service request to us for further support, we will ask you to provide us with some data about your game version.
On rare occasions, when the bug looks much more complicated and hidden, we will ask you to provide us with a whole game folder. We have a separate instruction on How to send us your game folder.
System specification
A lot of issues happen if your workstation is not strong enough to run House Flipper. Before you move to the other steps of the guide, first check if you meet the minimal requirements. You can find all the necessary information about your system on the Steam platform.
Start Steam. In the upper left corner, you can find a tab Help. From the dropdown menu choose System information, as in the screenshot below:
Game logs
By “logs” we mean three files Player.log , Player-prev.log, and activity.log. Those three files contain all information about your game so we need to analyze them to check what's causing the issue. Here are the paths where you can find all three files in Windows and MacOS systems:
Windows %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Empyrean\House Flipper Game\
MacOS ~/Library/Logs/Unity/
Windows
1.) If you use Windows, open File Explorer to find the log files. Paste the path %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Empyrean\House Flipper Game\ in the location bar. See the screenshot below:
2.) Hit Enter. Inside you should see the files as seen in the screenshot below. The three selected files are those we need.
If you can’t find these three files (Player.log , Player-prev.log and activity.log) please ensure that your game is up to date.
macOS
Warning: All games based on Unity engine share the same log file. If you open another game using Unity, House Flipper's log file will be overwritten! Therefore before sending us your log file, make sure House Flipper was the last game you’ve opened.
1.) If you’re a MacOS user, to find the log file open Finder and from the Go menu select Go to Folder screenshot below:
2.) Paste the path ~/Library/Logs/Unity/ in the following window and click Go.
3.) Here’s the Player.log file you’re looking for.
